James Baldock was born in Mississauga, Ontario. He later moved to Texas and attended Coppell High School. James returned to Canada and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University. While at Trent he came in second place at the Dalhousie Business Ethics Case Competition. Following his graduation from Trent University he attended law school at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
In 2007, he was an intern for Judge Carp at the Lane County Circuit Court. During his time at the court he became familiar with trial tactics and strategies. In 2008, James interned at the Domestic Violence Clinic in Eugene, Oregon. The clinic specialized in representing victims of domestic violence and litigating contested restraining orders. In 2009, James was hired as a staff attorney for Legal Aid Services of Oregon. His practice focuses on housing, family law, elder law, and government benefits. He works exclusively for low income clients and represents them for free.
James currently lives in Albany. In his spare time, James enjoys reading, gaming, eating, and conversing with friends.
